Halcomb Family

246% funded

We will be accepting donations of up to $700 for the Halcomb’s Freezer. All money over $500.00 will be used to provide the family with additional meals. If/when the Halcombs surpass the $700.00 goal, all additional funds will be donated to Simply Serving’s General Fund in Peggy and Jamie’s name. This money will be used to fund the freezer of a family without the strong support system that the Halcomb’s have. Peggy and Jamie will be provided a list of all donors upon delivery of the freezer.

Meet the Halcomb Family!  They were nominated to receive one of our deep freezers filled with healthy meals by Jordan Thompson, who is a friend of the family. With the help of volunteers, Simply Serving will be preparing a month’s worth of homemade meals for the Halcombs  to enjoy as both Jamie and Peggy  receive treatment for breast cancer. Keep reading below to learn more about their story or to gift a meal or more to the family!

Jordan  wrote the following:

“Jaime was diagnosed with advanced Breast Cancer last Fall and she has been receiving treatments throughout this year. She lives with her mother, Peggy, who has been helping care for her and her children. Unfortunately, it was recently discovered Peggy now also will be fighting her own battle with Breast Cancer. Needless to say, this family has a rough road ahead. If we can alleviate some of the burden by providing meals for them it would truly be a blessing.”

So sweet of you Laura. Your Dad was a great mentor to me and a great friend. I think of him often and will forever miss him. Thank you for your donation and your prayers. I hope you and your family are well.
