The Spencer Family
Meet John Spencer and Family! John was nominated to receive one of our deep freezers filled with healthy meals by his wife Charlene Spencer. With the help of volunteers, Simply Serving will be preparing 20 homemade meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner options) for the Spencer family to enjoy as John focuses on his fight against leukemia. Keep reading below to learn more about their story or to gift a meal to the family!
Charlene wrote the following:
“John is a veteran and retired teacher who has been battling leukemia for about two years now and also during that time has also had to be placed on dialyis. He has worked hard all his life and has finally accepted that it’s ok to ask for assistance for him and his family due to his cancer and other health battles. Any help would be greatly appreciated. “
We would love to help ease some of the day-today burden by taking care of meals for the Spencer family so that they can spend more time together focused on rest and recovery.
