Spring Risotto: Saturday April 24th (9:00 – 10:30 AM)
SPECIAL NOTE FOR APRIL: As a condition of re-opening, all volunteers will need to pull all the way up to the barn. This requires you to drive through a construction zone and your tires will get muddy if it is raining. Please do not sign up if this is a problem. We are very hopeful to pour a driveway soon!!
We are getting fancy and whipping up some Spring Risotto! Risotto is a traditional Italian rice dish made from a short-grained, starchy variety of rice called Arborio rice. Kids can be picky, so please let them now ALL VEGGIES will be optional, although encouraged ☺️. Cooking techniques will be taught as they create the recipe. Minimum age: 7 years old.
Classes will be taking place in our brand new kitchen located at 21 Paradise Place. It is about 4 miles from Southland Christian Church.
Things are going to look a little more normal than when we last met in January. Children will not work independently at a station, but instead, work with a partner to create their recipe. They enjoy working with one another and this allows us to create a wider range of recipes. Additionally, class sizes will be limited to children from 6 families in order to reduce traffic. We will continue to wear masks, check temperatures and wash our hands frequently due to COVID19.
***Parents: Please not that classes are not refundable or transferable to another date. No exceptions. You may gift to another child if you can not make it.
