An amazing October themed activity that kids will LOVE! This kit combines the creation of furry monster cupcakes with the important lesson that things aren’t always as scary as they seem!
This activity pairs with the book HOW TO CATCH A MONSTER by Adam Wallace and Andy Elkerton.

Orders must be placed no later than August 5th. Kits will be available for pickup/delivery on or after August 10th.
Description
Students will love listening to, HOW TO CATCH A MONSTER. After story-time, they will create their own monster cupcake treat using brightly colored buttercream, piping bags fitted with special tips and candy eyeballs!
How To Catch a Monster SUMMARY: There’s a monster in my closet, with claws and teeth and hair. And, tonight, I’m going to scare him! He lives just right through there…. Is there a monster living in your closet? Are you brave enough to catch him? Children will love sharing this fun and inventive story which reminds us that things aren’t always as scary as they seem. In the end, maybe the monster is just looking for a friend!
Makes 1 Fully Decorated Cupcake Per Child
THIS KIT INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING:
- step-by-step illustrated teacher instructions
- link to high-quality video read aloud of HOW TO CATCH A MONSTER (the book is not included in the kit)
- 1 baked chocolate cupcake per child
- 1 piping bag filled with frosting and fitted with “hairy piping tip” per 4 children
- 1 pack of assorted candy eyeballs per child
