An amazing back to school activity that kids will LOVE! This kit combines the creation of a sweet sugar cookie treat with the important lesson that perfect scores and having all the answers aren’t the only ingredients for intelligence!
This activity pairs with the book THE SMART COOKIE by Jory John and Pete Oswald.
Price is per participating student.
Orders must be placed no later than August 5th. Kits will be available for pickup/delivery on or after August 10th.
Description
Students will LOVE listening to and discussing the story, THE SMART COOKIE. After story-time, they will create their own “smart cookie” treat that looks just like the main character from the story.
SMART COOKIE SUMMARY: This cookie has never felt like a smart cookie no matter how hard she tries, especially in comparison to all the clever cupcakes and brilliant rolls in the bakery. Will a dash of creativity and a sprinkle of confidence be enough to help her learn that perfect scores and having all the answers aren’t the only ingredients for intelligence?
Makes 1 Fully Decorated Cookie Per Child
THIS KIT INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING:
- step-by-step illustrated teacher instructions
- link to high-quality video read aloud of THE SMART COOKIE (the book is not included in the kit)
- 1 baked sugar cookie per child
- 1 container of yellow butter cream per child
- 1 plastic butter knife per child
- 1 pack multi colored sprinkles per child
- 2 candy eyeballs per child (can be swapped for buttercream option for younger children to avoid choking hazard)
- 1 tube pink buttercream per 6 children (for cookie’s mouth)

Once you have placed your order, you will be sent a form via email requesting additional information about your order. We will need participating teacher names/# of kids in class, and to confirm the date you would like your kits available for delivery/pickup.
